Because building a creative life and career can be a lot.

Figuring out how to make time for your own projects on top of your work-work.

Wanting to prioritize creativity, but also just needing to give your brain some space to breathe.

And the many (many) questions that come up as you make your way along a very squiggly career path.

It can be enough to make you want to just ignore everything and cozy up with Netflix for a few decades.

Because there are enough people making things already, right? We’ll be fine without [insert that thing you’ve been thinking about forever but not actually taking action on because *welp*].

The thing is, we won’t.

The world needs your thing.

I honestly and 100% believe that the world needs creative people to make the things that are in their hearts.

Which means the world needs you to make the things that are in your heart. (No pressure.)

It’s our job to create the world we want to live in: creative, beautiful, kind, funny, sweet, smart, inspired, inspiring, [insert your adjective of choice].

And the way we do that is by taking our ideas and turning them into things — even if your inner gremlins are worried that thing you want to make might be silly or derivative or overdone* or whatever.

*No one has done it your way, cross my heart.
